Terry Fox

We are excited to announce that our school will be proudly taking part in the 2025 Terry Fox School Run, scheduled to take place on Monday, September 29th. 

This is our opportunity to “Try Like Terry” and go the distance for this year’s event.  Please join us to support cancer research while building incredible school spirit for all of our students.  A toonie for Terry ($2, $5 or $10 donation) can be made using School Cash online. Donations will be accepted until October 1st.

Play Rehearsals

For those who have signed up for this year's play, after school rehearsals begin on Monday. Backstage/Crew are not supposed to come to this meeting. 

Tuesday:
Orange Shirt Day
Students are invited to wear orange shirts on Tuesday as part of Truth and Reconciliation Week.
Mass at St. Justin’s
We will be walking to St. Justin’s to celebrate mass with the school community.

Class Photos:
Now that all of the photo release forms have been submitted, I have uploaded class photos on the gallery of our class website.

Science Nature Walk:
As part of our study of biodiversity, our class will be taking a walk to Cheswick Park for a biodiversity scavenger hunt. Boots/Rain Boots will be encouraged for this excursion. The day is dependant on how quickly we move through the unit. It will be written in their agendas.

Recycling Opportunities:
At St. Anthony, we are a recycling hub for several different materials. Please consider gathering and sending in the following recyclables:

Mechanical Pencils, Pens, and Markers
 

Google Translate Mobile App
Google has a great mobile app to help you translate English into any language except for Wookie.  It has three separate functions, the most interesting of which is the ability to use your mobile camera to translate various texts into English instantaneously on your screen. Although the translations are not perfect, it is more than enough to give user a good idea of what is being said.
